One of the things I’m loving most about the new Kindle releases are the personal letters from Judith at the front of each one. (See? I told you people she was alive…Honestly…)
Many moons ago, we were told that JM was working on a trilogy, and that one of the books would feature a modern-day Clayton Westmoreland. (Is he a duke? I really feel he should be, but that is neither here nor there.) The trilogy was also set to feature, for the first time, a Westmoreland heroine! (And there was much rejoicing!) What we did NOT know was who the remaining book would feature. With the release of the Kindle version of A KINGDOM OF DREAMS that question may have just been answered.
In the introduction letter, Judith revealed the following about her work-in-progress:
My newest book is about Jonas Westmoreland, a legendary all-American quarterback whose public life is turned upside down by a quirky veterinary student who inadvertently climbs into bed with him in his Las Vegas hotel. When Jonas attempts to eject her into the hallway, his efforts are observed by a hotel guest with a cell phone camera, and his entire career is jeopardized. It’s a drastic problem requiring a drastic solution….
Ahhhhhhhh! Is it just me, or does that premise sound like SO much fun to read?!?!?! Personally, I’m as excited as a fifteen year old Whitney Stone after winning a smile from Paul Sevarin. Ah, the potential for angst and forced togetherness positively has my toes tingling. Again, if I were a fairy, glitter would be shooting out of my wings right now.
But what do YOU ALL think?? Let me know!
Judith McNaught is in a class by herself.
Judith McNaught comes close to an Edith Wharton edge.
